I went because…<\/strong><\/p>\n Volunteering abroad was an unique way to develop myself and expand my horizons. It can help me meet new people, make friends and know a foreign culture. Also exploring new geography is a dream come true.<\/p>\n To Finland!<\/strong><\/p>\n In my opinion Finland is one of the countries with the best geography in Europe characterized of forests and lakes majorly. The peacefulness and calmness of the Finnish people, the cold weather that I have never experienced before and a difficult language that could challenge me are some of the many reasons I decided to volunteer in this beautiful country.<\/p>\n Everyday life in a school <\/strong><\/p>\n My project is about basic education, special education and I volunteer as a teachers\u2019 aid in different classes and majorly in the English class.<\/p>\n My greetings to those thinking of volunteering abroad <\/strong><\/p>\n I would love to encourage everyone out there who would wish to volunteer abroad not to hesitate because there\u00a0there is a lot to learn away from home.<\/p>\n \u201dMy family hosted a Germany volunteer some time back and it opened me to volunteering. Olin tehnyt vapaaehtoisty\u00f6t\u00e4 jo Suomessa, ja ajatus sen jatkamisesta erilaisessa kulttuuriymp\u00e4rist\u00f6ss\u00e4 houkutti. Studia-messuilla p\u00e4\u00e4dyin Maailmanvaihdon pisteelle, ja entisten vapaaehtoisten tarinat olivat niin j\u00e4nnitt\u00e4vi\u00e4, ett\u00e4 min\u00e4kin halusin mukaan toimintaan.<\/p>\n Ugandaan!<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201dPearl of Africa\u201d -lempinimen saanut Uganda vaikutti luontonsa ja kulttuurinsa puolesta niin kiinnostavalta, ett\u00e4 p\u00e4\u00e4tin hakea sinne vapaaehtoiseksi. Koin vuoden olevan hyv\u00e4 pituus vapaaehtoisty\u00f6jaksolle, jotta p\u00e4\u00e4sisin mahdollisimman hyvin sis\u00e4lle maan kulttuuriin ja arkeen. Oma mielikuvani Afrikan mantereesta oli rakentunut pitk\u00e4lti kehitysyhteisty\u00f6j\u00e4rjest\u00f6jen materiaalien pohjalta, enk\u00e4 uskonut, ett\u00e4 jatkuvat negatiiviss\u00e4vytteiset videot Afrikassa vallitsevista kriiseist\u00e4 vastaavat kokonaan todellisuutta.
