Come and experience European Solidarity Corps volunteering in Finland!
Volunteering with the European Solidarity Corps is a great way to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and contribute to meaningful grassroots projects. You’ll also have the chance to develop new skills and gain valuable experience.
We welcome European Solidarity Corps volunteers for 6–12 months. Many of our volunteers work in education or assist individuals with disabilities, for example, in folk high schools or specialized workshops.
The European Solidarity Corps program is funded by the European Union. At Maailmanvaihto – ICYE Finland, we coordinate volunteering periods in Finland and also host volunteers in our own organisation.
Most of our volunteers begin their projects in August or September. We apply for funding from the Finnish National Agency of the European Solidarity Corps to support these opportunities.

European Solidarity Corps volunteering is open to young people aged 18–30 who live permanently in one of the programme or partner countries.

Important update (March 2025): Currently, it is not possible to apply for European Solidarity Corps volunteering in Finland from Russia, Syria, or Libya. If you are living in Finland and want to participate in volunteering here, please contact us to explore local opportunities.
Volunteers working with vulnerable groups, such as the elderly or people with disabilities, must have a full COVID-19 vaccination series. Exceptions may be granted for medical reasons. If you have not yet been vaccinated, you must commit to taking the vaccinations upon arrival.

The accommodation and food are provided by the voluntary workplace and/or a local host family.
